Cynthia Spondello

I am running for school board because I recognize the importance of the role and how it correlates with achieving optimum student outcome. My goal is to advocate for all students. As a mother of two children who struggled academically, one of my objectives would be to aid in increasing proficiency level throughout the district. Additionally, I have witnessed evidence of a disconnected school board lacking in transparency and trust and my objective is to assist in bringing cohesiveness back to better serve the needs of the community. Finally, the need to control the budget and expenses to best serve the school, students and taxpayers is dire. We live in a society of extremes and finding a more economical alternatives would benefit the community. Public education provides incredible value, and I pledge for excellence for all students while living within our means.
